Officers and Directors 

President: Abhijeet Shrestha
Abhijeet Shrestha is a professional stock trader with a bachelor's degree in Economics, Accounting and Finance from Graceland College, IA.  Past work experience include two years as a financial analyst at Salomon Smith Barney (now Citigroup) in New York City. He is also involved in venture investing in various projects in the US and Nepal.

Vice-President: Dr. Sher B. Karki
Dr. Sher B Karki earned his Bachelor’s degree in 1992 from Brandeis University and a Doctoral degree in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Pennsylvania, PA in 1997. Dr. Karki is currently working as a Group Leader in a privately owned Biotechnology Company, Xencor, Inc. located in Monrovia, CA that specializes in engineering proteins for improving their therapeutic potential in treating cancer and other diseases. Dr. Karki lives with his wife and a daughter in Pomona, CA.

Treasurer: Sandra Hunnicutt

In 1994 Sandra accompanied her husband, a Fulbright grant recipient on a ten month teaching assignment in Kathmandu. While there she learned of the entrenched practice of sex-trafficking. On her return to the States, she founded Captive Daughters, a non-profit which works against sex trafficking in America and abroad. Through Captive Daughters, she has been able to stay connected with Nepali activists and groups working against trafficking. On a more personal note we have strong ties to two Nepali sisters - Binda in the U.S. and Maya in Kathmandu. We think of these girls as our granddaughters.

Secretary: Mohan Nure Sharma

Mohan Nure Sharma received his Bachelor's degree from Tribhuvan University in 1993 and an MBA in Tech. Management from National University, CA in 2004. During his student life in People's Campus in Kathmandu, Nepal and Santa Ana College in California, Mohan served actively in students' bodies. Currently, Mohan works as a Business System Analyst - a consultant in the area of Information Technology in Orange County, CA.


Director:
Jo Anne Shwayder-Pandey

Dr. Jo Anne Shwayder Pandey earned her doctoral degree from UCLA in educational psychology. She has done several research projects about Nepal and has been actively involved in the Nepalese community both here and in Nepal for many years.

Currently, Dr. Pandey is a faculty member at California State University, Northridge. She has also taught in Hawaii Pacific University, Hawaii and Pitzer College (one of the seven Claremont Colleges in Claremont, California).

Director: Kundan Rimal
Kundan Rimal is Grandson of the founder of Nepali Congress, Mr. Suryaprasad Upadyay and son of career diplomat and former Royal Nepalese Ambassador to U.S.S.R and Iran, Mr B.P Rimal and Mrs. Urmila Rima.

Kundan grew up in Beijing, China and completed schooling in Washington D.C. He has also lived in Iran and Moscow. He completed his Masters Degree from University of Punjab in India. He is married to Mala Rimal since 1991 is currently working for a software company in Beverly Hills as a software specialist and instructor.

Director: Bikash Sharma
Bikash Sharma is currently working as a Project Engineer in South Coast Environmental Company in Orange, California. While in Nepal he was a Project manager in Kathmandu Power Company and also an Adjunct Lecturer at Tribhuvan University. Bikash completed Specilization in Air Quality Management from UC, Riverside, after getting his Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering in Ukraine. 

He has done various research and project works on alternative energy in rural nepal 
and did various social and cultural activities during affiliation with different societies. Bikash can speak English, Russian, German and Nepali.

Director: Deven Pandey
Deven Pandey earned his bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems from the University of Nebraska. He is currently working for Agfa in their R&D department. Prior to moving to Los Angeles he lived in Hawaii, where he worked for the state's largest law firm employing 358 lawyers. He was in charge of running their data management system.

Deven enjoys playing golf, soccer, basketball, and making new friends. He also loves to snorkel/ scuba dive, travel, read books, and play guitar.
